Arise Staff Profile: Christianne Peters

Name: Christianne Peters
Title: Office Manager & Executive Assistant to the CFRO

When did you join Arise and what was your motivation for taking up this position?
I joined Arise in January 2019. After working for several years as a management assistant at an international consultancy firm, I decided it was time for another step in my career. Arise had a vacancy for an Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Risk Officer, which I applied for. The international character of the job and the diversity of tasks was what attracted me to the job.

What aspect of your job do you most enjoy?
I enjoy the organizational aspects of my role as well as working with the Arise team. No day is ever the same, which I love.

What has your top 3 highlights been?

1. The 2020 Arise conference in Cape Town
2. The strategic session with the Arise team, which took place in Utrecht in August 2019
3. Working with all the Arise team members, in both Amsterdam and Cape Town

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
A very positive challenge is combining the different supporting roles, assistant to the (former) CFRO, supporting our finance manager with administration and taking care of all office related matters. I enjoy the diversity of the support I can offer. During my time at Arise, I have also learnt much about the differences between the Dutch and the (South) African approach in terms of dealing with organizational matters.

Sum up Arise in one sentence
Arise consists of a small and close team of members, who support Arise’s mandate, are talented and eager to perform, but who are interested in each other’s wellbeing as well.
