Paying tribute to Steve Motsi, Investment Manager

It is with deep sadness that we had to bid farewell to Steve Motsi, Arise Investment Manager last month. Steve, after being hospitalized for some time succumbed to coronavirus-related complications on 29 August 2021.

Each of us not only grieves at the passing of a tremendous individual but also for the loss that his family suffers. Steve, who was part of the Arise team since inception in January 2017 played an instrumental role in the success of the organization and will be sorely missed by his colleagues and peers.

He was a colleague that was held in high esteem and admired for his qualities, especially his passion, commitment, dedication, and empathy for his colleagues. Passionate about advancing skills development in the investment and finance sector, Steve loved pursuing guest speaker opportunities at various tertiary institutions, where he encouraged students to pursue careers in these sectors.

What Steve will most be remembered for is his unfailing commitment and dedication to his family, colleagues, and his work. Steve will forever be remembered for his love of life and his tremendous sense of humor. We have lost a valuable member, who always inspired those around him to reach their full potential. His legacy will live on through the lives of the many people who he has touched.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this challenging time.
