Ecobank marked its 40th anniversary with a special edition of Ecobank Day, mobilising employees, the foundation, and partners around health, education, and youth empowerment.
Ecobank Day, the Group’s flagship social responsibility initiative builds on its Transform Africa through Education campaign, which has trained over 20 000 youth and equipped 30 schools with IT labs.

Ecobank has set three commitments:

  • Establish 40 IT laboratories across Africa
  • Train 40 000 children and youth in digital and AI-based skills
  • Launch digital training modules designed for children with disabilities

Ecobank Group CEO Jeremy Awori noted, “Ecobank Day is not just about giving back, it is about who we are as a Group, united by purpose and committed to Africa’s future. This year, we are not only celebrating our 40 year legacy but also continuing to build it by empowering the next generation through inclusive education, innovation, and technology.”
